Maples Group Advises Biohaven on US$287.5 Million Follow-On Offering
Maples and Calder, the Maples Group’s law firm, is pleased to have advised longstanding client Biohaven Ltd (“Biohaven”) on its follow-on underwritten public offering of common shares valued at US$287.5 million. The Group provided British Virgin Islands (“BVI”) and Cayman Islands counsel for the offering, which closed in October 2024.

Chris Newton, the firm’s BVI office managing partner, led the BVI Corporate legal team which included Partner Ruairi Bourke and Associates Chloe Harris and Elliot Ruffle. The Cayman Islands Corporate team supporting Biohaven included Partner Suzanne Correy and Associate Kimberly Robinson. The teams acted alongside Biohaven’s US counsel Sullivan & Cromwell. Ropes and Gray provided US counsel to the underwriters.

Biohaven is a longstanding client of the Maples Group, which has provided BVI counsel to Biohaven since its incorporation, following a spin-off included as part of a take private on which the firm also advised and its previous public offering of US$230 million.
