Maples and Calder, the Maples Group’s law firm, has been recognised for its role in ten of this year’s ‘Deals of the Year’ for the Global Banking & Markets (GBM) Awards: Saudi Arabia 2026. This honour reinforces the firm’s market-leading position in financial markets across the country.
The Maples and Calder Finance team in Dubai advised on a number of transactions recognised across the following categories:
- Bond Deal of the Year
- Financial Institutions Bond Deal of the Year
- GRE Sukuk Deal of the Year
- Corporate Bond Deal of the Year
- High Yield Bond Deal of the Year
- Bank Capital Deal of the Year
- Local Currency Bond Deal of the Year
- Debut Bond Deal of the Year
- Real Estate Finance Deal of the Year
- Financial Institutions Sukuk Deal of the Year
The team’s contribution was led by Manuela Belmontes, Joint Managing Partner of the Dubai office and Barbara Kramarz, Of Counsel, who both played a central role in advising on these transactions. They were supported by Norbert Neijzen, Regional Head of Fiduciary and the wider Maples Fiduciary Services team who helped with providing fiduciary services in relation to the majority of these transactions.
