Areas of Expertise

Alasdair is an associate of Maples and Calder’s Dispute Resolution & Insolvency team in the Maples Group’s Cayman Islands office. He advises on restructuring; liquidations and cross-border disputes, with experience spanning both contentious and non-contentious matters. His experience enables him to deliver commercially focused practical solutions to clients navigating complex financial and insolvency matters.

Alasdair joined the Maples Group in 2021, working in the Finance team as a Paralegal before completing his articles of clerkship with the firm. On qualification, he joined the Dispute Resolution & Insolvency team. Previously, he spent over a decade at a major UK bank specialising in retail banking and asset finance, where he gained industry knowledge and practical insights.

Alasdair is a member of the Cayman Islands Legal Practitioners Association (CILPA) and the Cayman Islands Legal Assistance Clinic.
